Want to plunge down piping hot magma, navigate treacherous icy paths and weave through rapid currents in the face of real-life dinosaurs?

Adrenaline junkies can experience all that at HeadRock VR at Resorts World Sentosa. Opened in Nov 2018, the 500 sq m virtual reality (VR) theme park features 11 rides, ranging from horror mansions to zombie invasions.

Mr Park Hong Que, founder of Mediafront, a new media experience company that manages HeadRock VR, says he intends to bring the business to other countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia, where there’re “huge markets for the (VR theme park) industry”. According to market research portal Statista, the augmented and virtual reality market is projected to be worth US$209.2 billion (S$285.1 million) in 2022.
