When Dawn Teo was 8, she was molested by a male classmate.

It would not be the last time the now 24-year-old experienced sexual violence. She had up-skirt photos taken of her when she was 12, and at 17, she was not only raped by her then-boyfriend, but was also stalked for a three-month period by a stranger.

The writer and artist partnered with AWARE Singapore and the Sexual Assault Care Centre (SACC) on their #AimForZero campaign to share her experiences. The campaign had been launched on Nov 26 2018, championing for an end to sexual violence.

In a video interview with The UrbanWire, Ms Teo shared about her experience with sexual assault, the recovery process and her advice to those who may be going through the same situation right now. Watch the sombering video below.
