Having a penchant for teaching kids to blow flying kisses and Andes chocolates, Gowri believes in the power of manners, music, fashion and taking the mickey out of a situation when needed. When she is not relaxing with a good Murakami or a slice of chocolate pound cake, Gowri likes to scout the ‘Narnia of Youtube’ for obscure music acts to beef up her iTunes collection, and also because she dislikes listening to music that saturates the airwaves. The writing bug bit her when she was 5, when she would write letters to ‘God’ and create her own newsletters from scratch (the news being her stuffed toys’ adventures’). That led to her editing and writing scripts and articles for her school productions, newsletters and publications (and even getting published in a book) such as What’s Up, the 10th Asia Pacific Gifted Conference newsletter and IN, the Straits Times publication for secondary-school youth. As much as Gowri loves being behind the camera, she also enjoys being in front of it, having been the go-to roving reporter and MC for most of her school events and broadcasts throughout primary and secondary school, as well as acting in stage productions. Fast forward, and this 17-year-old is looking to achieve more, armed with her pragmatic attitude on life, and her studded rings.
