Tabs, as she prefers to be called, loves nothing more than to devour a great classic from the Bronte sisters or something from Haruki Murakami when she’s in the mood for something quirky. All things with pretty packaging, from skincare and make up to trinkets and jewellery, amuse and delight her, which explains her affinity for elaborate costumes and sets used in theatrical productions. That, and her love for the dramatic led to an appreciation for musical theatre and an admiration for its cast members. The film versions of these take up her empty Sunday afternoons, with Moulin Rouge and Grease often on the playlist. And after doing all the things she loves, she gets a bigger buzz from talking about it over a cup of peppermint tea with someone who’s interested. Or even uninterested, because she loves a challenge.

In between producing the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics, director Danny Boyle managed to film Trance, and outdoes himself, combining romance, action, thriller and science fiction all into one gummy mix for those who like something to chew on.
