Zul is an individual who cannot be boxed into any category given his eclectic personality and experiences. He has had several experiences with writing – a prime example of that being his participation in a nation-wide creative writing competition when he was Secondary 2, for which he scored a ‘merit’ award and emerged in the top 15% tier. Of course, nothing puts him in a more comfortable position than when he writes a with his emotions injected into, otherwise, a mere piece of writing. After all, he finds writing to be an optimum medium to express himself. But ultimately, his love for writing stems from his active imagination.
