Pixar has been playing around with hit franchises for the past few years with sequel after sequel, but nobody would have expected the Hercules of the animation world to come up with a prequel, much less one to the animation comedy Monsters, Inc.
Man Of Steel may have loads of heart-thumping action scenes, beautifully rendered set pieces, especially on Krypton, but hasn’t his story been done enough?

The finale of 2009’s 10th top grossing movie in the world, The Hangover, is back with more hilarious antics, more outlandish character, sand more, well, drugs. Through it all, our heroes stay surprisingly sober despite the movie’s title, no doubt terrified of what else will transpire when they hit the bottle.
Small and intimate is how the 5-man indie band The Temper Trap like their shows, and that’s how they got it on their episode with the sixth installment of the MTV Sessions.

The film, set in the roaring 20s of New York City, comes with stupendous cinematic artistry and delicious sensory overload, but all the glitz and glamour that’s been packed into the 142-minute-long film doesn’t do justice to the well-written characters of the book that many generations have grown to know.
Imagine this. The once magnificent Enterprise, now worn out and damaged after having had her guts blown out by the sleek, fully armed USS Vengeance, floating calmly in pitch-black space awaiting her doom. One final blow from the Vengeance – now temporarily out of power thanks to it’s stow-away Scotty (Simon Pegg) – and all her passengers will be obliterated.
In between producing the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics, director Danny Boyle managed to film Trance, and outdoes himself, combining romance, action, thriller and science fiction all into one gummy mix for those who like something to chew on.
13 people plummet to certain death, forcibly sucked out of an aeroplane with a gaping hole torn in its side. Iron Man swoops down from the aircraft, just before it explodes, calms a free-falling and screaming stewardess, then gets her to grab another passenger. “Easy, see? 11 more to go,” Tony Stark announces.
