Movie Synopsis

In this film, based on two best friends’ contrasting attitudes and views towards love and relationship, two young American women, Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson), decide to go on a summer vacation to Spain. There they meet an attractive young painter (Javier Bardem) and his beautiful but unbalanced ex-wife (Penelope Cruz).

Vicky is engaged and holds strict moral attitudes while Cristina is a vivacious free spirit. Chaos ensues when the four characters become amorously entangled.

Set in the stunningly beautiful city of Barcelona, we follow the romantic adventures of the two women who find out that at the end of the day, while things don’t often happen as planned, there are always lessons on love to be learnt.
