Academy Award®-nominated actor John Travolta will be a presenter for the 79th Academy Awards® presentation, telecast producer Laura Ziskin announced today.
Travolta has twice been nominated in the Leading Actor category, for Saturday Night Fever in 1977 and Pulp Fiction in 1994. He will be seen next in Wild Hogs and Hairspray. Travolta’s other film credits include Be Cool, Ladder 49, A Love Song for Bobby Long, Basic, A Civil Action, Face/Off and Phenomenon.
Travolta joins fellow actors Ben Affleck, Jessica Biel, Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Abigail Breslin, Steve Carell, George Clooney, Daniel Craig, Tom Cruise, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Kirsten Dunst, Will Ferrell, Jodie Foster, Eva Green, Tom Hanks, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Diane Keaton, Nicole Kidman, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Tobey Maguire, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, Rachel Weisz, Kate Winslet and Reese Witherspoon as a presenter on the show.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2006 will be presented on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®.
The Oscars® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST), beginning with a half-hour red carpet arrivals segment, The Road to the Oscars.
