Nokia Remix 2008: Singapore was in town to amp up the night at the Red Dot Design Museum on Oct 3 with the best in international and local music. Boasting a full house, great food and plenty of drinks to go around, the Nokia Remix Party was really the wish-I-were-there place for the night.
Lifehouse stole the show with a full one hour act singing hits of old and new such as “Hanging by a Moment”, ”You and Me” and their new single, “Broken”.
Not to be outdone by the presence of English band, Keane at the Nokia Remix in London, Nokia had specially invited American band, Lifehouse, for the Nokia Remix in Singapore. This being their first time in the country, Lifehouse brought the house down and had the party crowd singing along.
Held in two locations in the world, the first in London, Nokia Remix 2008: Singapore celebrates the enjoyment of music and there’s no better way to show that enjoyment than to invite various local homegrown bands such as Plain Sunset and Astreal to rock the night away with their own brand of ‘Singapore’ rock.
In between acts, DJs Vernon A and Justin Ang (The Muttons at Midnight) from 987FM livened up the party as emcees for the night with their hilarious off-color humour they are known for.
Nokia also used the Remix party to present their whole new collection of services for the Nokia Xpress product line. Along with the brand new touch-screen Nokia Xpress 5800 music phone, the “Nokia Comes with Music” services aims to provide users of Nokia phones access to over 2 Million songs from the Nokia Music Store.
