Singaporean artist Jeff Lai, 24, has surprised many commuters on the train and diners at F&B outlets in recent months. 

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) student has been drawing random members of the public and gifting his beautiful pencil-drawn portraits to them. He captures his subjects’ reactions on the phone and posts the clips on his TikTok account, which has amassed over 8,000 followers. 

Most people who received his drawings were pleasantly surprised, but was there anyone who felt offended?
