The Mosaic Music Festival ’08 drew to a close, putting an end to 10 days of diverse musical brilliance. UrbanWire editor Jeremy Boo, who covered the event extensively, described it as “a fey experience that celebrates the vibrancy and differences in the scene with the true lingua franca of music”. Using a personal experience as an example, he recalled how Josei and Midorin, musicians from Japanese jazz group SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS, performed with theSaskia Laroo Band from Netherlands, as part of Mosaic’s All Stars Jam programme.
UrbanWire pays special tribute this music festival by recapitulating the events that we had opportunity to attend. Needless to say, we look forward to the next Mosaic Music Festival, happening from 12 Mar to 22 Mar 2009.
