MediaCorp Channel 8 will be broadcasting its longest drama series ever with a total of 180 episodes, Your Hand in Mine (想握你的手), from Nov 9. The plot revolves around the Tay family, headed by the thrifty Zheng Shan Guo (Huang Wenyong) who unwillingly lets his wife Yuxiang (Chen Liping) splurge on branded goods.

The couple has 3 daughters whose personalities span across a whole spectrum. Eldest sister Aizhen (Yvonne Lim) works as a TV news reporter who’s impatient and has her eyes on top of her head. Second daughter Aishan (Belinda Lee) has obsessive-compulsive disorder and can never tolerate any dirt or grime, which becomes an obstacle for her to get along with her colleagues. Youngest child Aimei (Pei Xuan) is the typical blur-queen character that may not be the most intelligent, but always treats everyone kindly.

6 times as many episodes as the average local Mandarin serial, you can expect lots of ups and downs within the storyline that explore themes related to love, family and friendship. Major pairings include Aizhen and Fang Kai (Pierre Png), with third-party Li Liqin (Shaun Chen) stepping in and trying to separate them, and cleanliness freak Aishan with unkempt neighbour Wu Youli (Cavin Soh).
