Local pop-punk band, Plainsunset presented an explosive and electrifying performance for members of the public at *SCAPE ROCKZ @ NORTH WEST on Dec 4.
An inaugural collaboration between *SCAPE and the North-West Community Development Council (CDC), the free event featured exciting acts from local bands and talents from the North-West including the Rexaz cheerleading team from Republic Polytechnic, bands like Tuzi, Cockpit, or dance performances from Urban Street Team and more.
The audience was brought to a mystery venue, via shuttle bus, which was later revealed to be Senja-Cashew Community Centre located at Bukit Panjang.
The highlight of the evening was, of course, 14 year-old homegrown favourite, Plainsunset, which has 4 albums to its name and performed for international audiences in countries like Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, New Zealand.
The band kick-started their set with the fist-pumping “Johari Window”. They also belted out other songs like “Interference”, the mid-tempo “Monsters by the Sea” and popular hit “The River Song”, a tribute to the Singapore River. With that, the energetic quartet drew the night to a close.
