If you’re unable to join in Beijing’s 2008 Olympic Games, fret not! Samsung will be bringing the Olympic spirit to Singapore, for Singaporeans, at the Samsung Torchbearer Challenge.

Join 150 finalists in an endurance challenge to earn a chance to be 1 of 5 exclusive torchbearers representing Singapore at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay. You can also create your own Olympic history by joining in Samsung’s attempt to set a Singapore record for the most number of torchbearers forming a 5-ring formation, in tribute to the Olympics logo. The event will be officiated by Mr Teo Chee Hean, Minister of Defence and President, Singapore National Olympic Council.

Of course, the best part is that you stand to win a Samsung 46 inch LCD TV and more than $30,000 worth of prizes and goodie bags if you participate in this record breaking attempt.

Local deejays Yazmin from Class 95FM, Shan Wee from 987 FM and Fen Ying from Love 972FM will also be put to a mini endurance challenge in a bid to raise funds for Mainly I love Kids (MILK), KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund and the Society for the Physically Disabled respectively.
