Singapore has marked 2019 as the Year Towards Zero Waste. Eager to do their part to close the waste loop, two Ngee Ann Polytechnic students Alicia Hong and Devin Rai decided to give the zero waste lifestyle a try.
For one day, the duo bought only what they needed from a packaging-free store. They also consciously chose more eco-friendly products over others, recycled what could be recycled and composted all their food waste.
