Singapore’s largest creative art festival is back, and it’s bigger than before! Featuring more than 300 stalls of good food, crafts, and hands-on workshops, you wouldn’t want to give this a miss. Find out what you can expect at Artbox 2024 and consider heading down with your loved ones from Feb 2 to 4.

  1. Wide variety of food

You’ll want to come with an empty stomach! There are so many options to choose from, you won’t have to worry about going hungry. From rainbow jelly balls (from 来碗冰粉 láiwǎnbīngfěn at booth 250), and SugarBelly mochi donuts, to Dragon’s Breath, and mala cups, you’ll be able to find something that suits your tastebuds. Halal, sweet, spicy, and savoury, Artbox has it all!

  1. Shop & play till you drop

Head over to the Shopping District where you’ll find yourself transported to the streets of Korea, Thailand, and more! If you haven’t bought your Valentine’s Day gift, here’s the perfect chance to do so. Many booths sell jewellery, crochet items, clothing, and even traditional snacks from Korea. You don’t even have to fly to Korea to dress up in a traditional Hanbok – rent one at Artbox for just $10.

Retail therapy isn’t your thing? Fret not. You’ll be entertained by all the games at Arcade Valley just around the corner. You can also get yourself a hand-drawn Jagua tattoo, or even a tarot card reading (we got to do a free reading from @tarotxavenue).

Love karaoke? Check out the Teo Heng KTV booths at the Open Plaza where you can sing your lungs out with your friends. Engage in chess competitions hosted by Aliwal Chess Club and immerse yourself in the virtual world with Switch and VR Games. The things to do at Artbox truly seem endless, so put on your comfiest shoes!

  1. On-stage live performances & SGAG variety stage challenges

Look forward to captivating live performances by local bands like The Passerby, Happy Together, violinist Jocelyn Ng, and saxophonist Spruce Teo. Artbox 2024 is co-organised with SGAG and they’ve come up with fun challenges like Hopscotch of Pain and National Piak Cockroach Championship where participants stand a chance to win $888. Who knows, you might be the lucky one!

  1. Instagrammable mural art

In need of Instagram-worthy photos to post? With all the photo spots at Artbox, you’ll have tons of choices. Vibrant murals designed by local regional artists are scattered around the place so keep a lookout for those and don’t forget to bring your portable chargers!

Fun fact: Ngee Ann’s student-led creative agency @d.isrupt designed one of the murals at Artbox. Support their work by taking a photo and tag them if you spot it!
