It was a large gathering of MediaCorp Channel 5 artistes at Dempsey Hill on Oct 24 for a Charity Car Wash to raise funds for 3 beneficiaries: Operation Smile, HCA Hospice Care and Rainbow Centre. Class 95 DJs Jean Danker and Carol Smith each hosted half of the 6-hour long event that started at noon.
The celebrities who endured the hot sun and got themselves wet included the cast of Fighting Spiders led by Andie Chen and Bobby Tonelli, the cast of First Class led by Jade Seah, the cast of Polo Boys led by Michelle Chia and Adrian Pang, the FHM Girls and Singapore Idol contestants from both current and previous seasons, including Gayle Nerva and Paul Twohill.
All their hard work has garnered $7,131.93 in total for a good cause, in which the Polo Boys team topped the earnings. Another $4,460 was raised from an auction which topped the funds to a grand total of $11,591.93.
