Are the Ting Tings your thing? Then it’s time to party come Jan 13 at the inaugural Big Night Out!
To be held at the Fort Canning Park, Big Night Out promises to be, as the posters scream, “more than just a gig”. With the event featuring indie’s latest addiction, the Ting Tings, on Day 1 on Jan 13 and legendary dance/rock band, the Prodigy, on Day 2 on Feb 3, we advise you grab your tickets fast.
Indie fans will know better than to miss out on Day 1. Hailing from the UK, the Ting Tings is made up of Katie White and Jules de Martino, who are named the “most exciting new band in the country” by the UK-based music mag New Music Express. They’ll be rocking Singapore for the very first time with chart-topping hits from We Started Nothing, their multi-award-winning debut album. Hey, we even get to be their first gig in the new year before they head Down Under.
Get set to dance your heart out on Day 2 with the Prodigy. Countrymen of the Ting Tings, this legendary dance/rock band will bring you their brand of dance music that is guaranteed to keep you on your feet. Band members composer/keyboardist Liam Howlett, dancer and singer Keith Flint and Maxim (MC/vocalist) will perform their hits from albums such as The Fat of the Land and Invaders Must Die.
With these 2 great Brit acts plus a host of special guests and DJs, you can expect nothing less than 2 fantastic nights of fun, partying, music and madness at Big Night Out Singapore 2009! Miss it, and you’ll be sorry.
