Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF)! You meet up with your best buds, plop yourselves down at your usual haunt to drink, stare into space, look at your friends, look at your drink, glance back at your friends with a mundane look… well you get the idea.
This Friday, Butter Factory gives you a good reason to drink and make merry at Colour Butter – a live mural art project held in conjunction with the Singapore Design Festival 2007 featuring Jon Burgerman, an internationally renowned United Kingdom (UK) artist. As you sip your glass of golden Tiger beer served complimentary from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, watch live art unfold as he paints a mural on the walls of Butter Factory.
About Jon Bugerman (Nottingham/UK))
Fine Arts graduate Jon Burgerman is known for his unique hand-drawn characters and scribbles, applied across a huge range of mediums – from bags, books, belts, snowboards, skateboards, surfboards, ice-cream vans, clothing, frisbees and many more.
His unique and colourful artwork is prevalent in a variety of media which includes drawing, painting, print, animation, street art and toy design. Be it on paper, cardboard, canvas or directly onto walls and objects, there is a very British sense of self-deprecation, humour and anxiety in all his art pieces.
With works exhibited across the world, Jon Burgerman has also participated in international events such as Pictoplasma in Berlin, and collaborated with brands such as 55DSL, Adidas, Miss Sixty, Pepsi, Sony and Virgin Airlines.
In July 2007, Jon Burgerman created a specially commissioned GOLD artwork for Tiger that was showcased during the Tiger Translate Beijing event.
