It’s time to embrace the artist in you and squeeze those creative juices for one of Singapore’s most groundbreaking festivals this year, Creative 24.
Celebrating the creativity that everyday Singaporeans and creative professionals alike can bring to the society, Creative 24, brought to you by Creative Community Singapore (CCS), is a stirring, non-stop, 24-hour fiesta that allows Singaporeans to experience the processes and content of selected CCS-supported projects.
Beginning Dec 1 at 10 am, the festival will feature workshops, performances and special showcases that will provide Singaporeans the opportunity to participate and learn from the interesting projects that CCS has supported. The event is set in the creative enclave of the National Museum of Singapore, and incorporating satellite events will be situated at 4 other locations around Singapore.
Not to be missed is the iPop Fair from 12 pm to 4 pm. The new media digital centre is presenting opportunities for the public to find just how one can be part of the exciting media industry. For the first time in Singapore, iPop is bringing industry experts, celebrities and personalities in to allow the public to have their queries answered, get to know insider information and mingle with the industry powerhouses.
The concept of a “24-hour creative festival” is unique: it not only showcases the best and most promising of CCS-supported projects and their owners, but also brings together creative talents, creative business supporters, media, and the public to experience the possibilities in fusing creativity and entrepreneurship, and be inspired by them.
Creative 24 stands out from everything else that has been rolled out by the creative industries. It has a structured engagement process for all visitors and participants, where Singaporeans not only get to experience the performances and displays, but also interact with the projects’ through the walk-through of the showcase.
Seeing, believing and enjoying the works of CCS’ project owners is only part of the story. Through guided workshops developed by the project owners, one can also learn about the intricate, all-important processes, thought and passion invested by project owners into getting their creative businesses off the ground, and making them work.
