Actor Daniel Craig will be a presenter for the 79th Academy Awards® ceremony, telecast producer Laura Ziskin announced today. This will be his first time presenting for the Academy Awards.

Craig starred as James Bond in Casino Royale in the latest installment in the Bond series. His other film credits include Munich, Layer Cake, The Jacket, Sylvia, and Road to Perdition.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2006 will be presented on Sunday, Feb 25 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®.

The Oscars® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 pm PST (8 pm EST), beginning with a half-hour red carpet arrivals segment, The Road to the Oscars.
