Many might see former 2NE1 member Sandara ‘Dara’ Park as an effortless beauty. But the fact is, she takes the trouble to apply a facial mask every single night.
And not just any sheet masks. She likes her masks to be printed with animal and cartoon characters such as Kungfu Panda.
“I love those cute face masks,” Dara told the Singapore press when she was in town to promote Get It Beauty On The Road (GIBOTR), an upcoming tvN beauty program.
Also with her at the press conference were Singapore starlets Chantalle Ng and Tay Ying, who’re co-hosting GIBOTR with her. While Dara is in love with cheeky face masks, Chantalle is big on the “no-makeup” makeup look. As for Tay Ying, her latest obsession has to be gradient lips – a lipstick application style designed to make one’s mouth appear smaller.
For Dara, applying face mask daily is a crucial part of her skincare routine.
“There is no secret. I’m also human so I also get sweaty and I don’t look good when I wake up. But what I do is I put (on) a face mask every night. I try to do this every day even if I’m tired or lazy because it takes only 10 to 15 minutes a day,” Dara said.
The 33-year-old beauty also has a specific tip for those living in Singapore.
“Singapore is really hot and humid all year, so it’s really important to choose the right product,” she said, adding that this will help avoid “cakey” makeup.
Dara said she’s excited to share more tips on GIBOTR, which will premiere on July 10.
“I prepared a lot,” the singer-actress said, “I have so many things to share about K-beauty to Singaporean viewers and fans so I hope you guys will like it.”
