Universal Studios Singapore sets a Guinness World Records for pulling off the largest light bulb display in an indoor space.

With a full spectrum of colors cycling through 824,961 light bulbs, Universal Studios Singapore’s (USS) Christmas light display is ready to dazzle.

At Universal Journey, visitors can expect a walk through a quaint little town in which everything from the towering waterfall to giant pine trees and fairy tale-like buildings is gorgeously illuminated with light bulbs. They can also soak in the festive spirits at The Land of Great Gifts and join the song-and-dance medleys at Herald Square and other thematic zones.

For holding the biggest light display at an indoor space, USS has set a Guinness World Record in November.

“I think there are 2 things. One is breaking the record, the other is giving a great experience,” said Mr Jason Horkin, Senior Vice-president of Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa, which is home to USS. “The way to give the best experience is to go where the record is,” he told The UrbanWire.

The Universal Journey light display is part of USS’ annual Santa’s All-Star Christmas celebration.

Ms Andrea Teo, RWS’ Vice-president of Entertainment, said she hopes visitors will leave the display feeling “trippy”, “psychedelic”, and “a burst of awe”.

The light display, which took 2 months to set up, will run until Jan 2 2017. Visitors can also expect firework displays on certain nights with hourly snowfalls and multimedia light shows.
