Mark this date down on your calendar – Jul 31. And while you’re at it, note this place – *SCAPE (Street + Market), at Orchard Road.

This is where the 2nd HYPED Up! Flea Market will be held at. Organised by m:idea, this year’s flea market promises 7 hours filled with entertainment, goodies and great buys, from 2pm to 9pm.

At this year’s flea market, you’ll be spoilt for choice, as a whole variety of stalls – 60, to be precise – will be set up, peddling goods for all your fashion and accessory needs!

One performance to catch is Sleightly Silas and his Mega Magic crew, as the self-proclaimed magician-cum-hypnotist-cum-visionaire brings a roving magic act. If you’re in the mood for music, you’d be pleased to know that among the many live acoustic performances, not to be missed are 5-man experimental rock group Constellation Rising, The Pinholes, Cheating Sons and winners of this year’s Levi’s Music Challenge, The Sets Band.

Not to be missed are the Hourly HYPEractivity giveaways, which offers free CDs and movie passes. To beat the heat of summer, Red Bull will be providing free refreshments as well. Fans of London-based football club Chelsea F.C. will have much to rejoice, as official club jerseys, courtesy of Samsung, will also be given away in our hourly giveaways. Goodie bags worth over $500 with freebies including vouchers from our various sponsors will also be given away!

And the goodies do not just stop here. Participants spotted by our photographers stand a chance to win a Samsung ST700 Digital Camera worth $459!

Of course, the flea market is never complete without HYPE magazine. Be sure to check out the 33rd edition of the magazine, with front(wo)man of popular rock band Paramore Hayley Williams featured on its cover. And if you’d like you can have your picture taken with our HYPEevolution photowall, which features all 33 covers of HYPE, from 1992 ’til now!
