The former Manchester United stars played a friendly match at Woodleigh Park.

Former Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs did what they did best when they’re in town to launch their new cafe.

Neville and Giggs were in Singapore on 8th April to drum up excitement for Cafe Football in The Arena, a football-themed lifestyle destination in Woodleigh Park.

A joint business venture between the football duo and property development firm Rowsley, controlled by Singapore tycoon Peter Lim, Cafe Football Singapore is their first franchise outside of the United Kingdom. They have an outlet each in London and Manchester.

Confident of achieving the same success in Singapore, Giggs said: “I think all you can do is prepare right, try and get the service and the quality of the food right, which is what we want to have consistent right through the branches,” he said.

“It’s a great spot (here). We were here 7 to 8 months ago and the transformation has been brilliant in that short space of time.”

Neville added that they hope to “expand and grow the business” and bring Hotel Football, their flagship football themed hotel, to Singapore one day.

With live match screenings and a football-themed menu, the unique restaurant aims to feed a love for food and football. Cafe Football opens daily from 11 am to 12 am.
