Tracklist:
1. ONE DROP
A song about saying farewell to your bitter memories, you can let go and let your tears drop, someone would be there to protect you. The most catchy part of the song would probably be the last phrase in English, “Only lonely your teardrop”. Which does not make as much sense unless you fully comprehend the whole chorus. This song is also the theme song for Kami no Shizuku (神の雫), a drama about wine that Kamenashi Kazuya stars in. Its catchy tune and melody definitely suits being the theme song of a drama series. 2. D-T-S
Fans would probably recognise this upbeat song as part of a Lotte Plus X commercial. Personally, this UrbanWire writer likes this song best. It lingers in your mind and one would find themselves humming the melody. The opening kicks off with catchy guitar chords. Rapper Tanaka Koki‘s parts always gives their pop songs a refreshing twist and this is no different in D-T-S.

3. On My Mind
“You’re staying on my mind”, a phrase in the song, describes the essence of this ballad tune. The regret one feels after a break-up sums up the story behind the song. Though Kamenashi‘s vocals seems to come on stronger compared to the other members, his voice entices you to a dreamy state of mind and you could very well fall asleep under his spell.

KAT-TUN‘s new single, One Drop is overall a pleasant listen but the fan in this UrbanWire writer wishes they start spinning more up-beat songs similar to Real Face or Don’t U Ever Stop.

UrbanWire gives it: 6.5/10

You can purchase One Drop at local HMV stores or at CDJapan.
