While you wonder, with bated breath and crossed fingers, who will the winners of the Awards be, UrbanWire was next to the red carpet and got a chance to shoot a few questions to the celebs, thanks to the good people at MTV. We say watch out for these sensational and phenomenal performers at the MTV Asia Awards tonight.

The Pussycat Dolls

Performing their latest hit single “When I Grow Up” for the first time in Asia, The Pussycat Dolls promise to take the show by the storm with their stunning dance moves and amazing costumes as the opening act to the MTV Asia Awards (MAA) 2008.

It’s interesting to see how a then unknown PCD who performed in the MAA in 2006 have transformed into a sensation in 2 years. They plan to release their second album – Doll Domination on Sep 15.

“Chocolate! Sugar and spice and everything nice!”
– on what flavour The Pussycat Dolls are

Electrico

Arguably Singapore’s best band, Electrico will perform “Save Our Souls” with fellow nominee Stefanie Sun. This song is written to create awareness for the disaster victims in Asia.

“Things are starting to change. People are starting to open up in Singapore in terms of recognising what good music is all about.”
– on about being the only nominated band from Singapore

Stefanie Sun

Six-time nominee and five-time MAA winner Stefanie Sun will be performing with Electrico, but we guess you already know that.

“Talent. And hard work. And yes, talent.”

The Script

“As guys, it’s hard to lay your heart on the line, but we want our music to be an exploration of ourselves.”

Super Junior

Jabbawockeez

“The masks we wear make us universal. There’s no age, no gender and no races – it makes us all one.”

Panic At The Disco

“Everything is great! We just spent about a month in Europe and just 1 day here is better than that. Cheers!”
