Actress Rachel Weisz will present at the 79th Academy Awards ceremony, producer Laura Ziskin announced today.
Last year, Weisz received her 1st Oscar® nomination and took home the award for her supporting performance in The Constant Gardener. Most recently, she was heard as the voice of Saphira in Eragon and starred opposite Hugh Jackman in The Fountain. She will be seen next in Definitely, Maybe. Her other film credits include Constantine, Runaway Jury, The Shape of Things, About a Boy and Stealing Beauty.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2006 will be presented on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®.
The Oscars® will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST), beginning with a half-hour red carpet arrivals segment, The Road to the Oscars.
