Their cute Scottish accents got all the females in the crowd swooning, as the first day of SINGfest drew to a close.

Fran Healy, the lead singer of Travis, was very particular about the quality of the sound, and had a slight problem with the scratchy monitors the band was given.

“It probably sounds wonderful down there. But up here it sounds like when you have a shoe box and you put elastic bands over it and pluck them,” he called backstage, much to the amusement of the audience.

The music definitely didn’t sound like elastic bands being plucked to UrbanWire.

Unless, of course, those cartoon angels strum rubber-band-over-box harps.

Their music was simply heavenly.
